She earned her B.A. in psychology at CSU, Fresno and received her multiple subject CLAD teaching credential at Sonoma State University. She fondly remembers her elementary school teachers, and it was her 6th grade teacher in particular that motivated her to become an educator. She has been teaching since 1998 mostly in upper elementary and middle school. She believes in getting to know the whole child in order to find their spark of interest and use those interests to create lifelong learners. In her free time, she loves to camp and hike with her two boys, read, and scrapbook her many pictures.
